SOL Girl for Life

You could see the tears welling up in Kendall Barnes’ eyes as I sat down with her to reminisce about her experience as a SOL girl. And, let me tell you, it is a good one.

Kendall came in with her mom to get fit for her first bra when she was 11 years old. The store had not even officially opened yet and the design on the floor was still being painted. Kendall was customer #15. Every season, Kendall and her mom would stop by the store to check out the new things. And when Christmas time came around, Kendall always knew she would get a pair of Pajamas from SOL from her mom. Being allowed to open only one present before Christmas day, Kendall always chose the yellow wrapped box so she could wear her special PJ’s on Christmas morning.

Kendall, or KB as she is known around the store, started working as a helper at the store when she was a sophomore in high school and came back during college to work during breaks from school. She has truly been a SOL girl for life and we will miss her when she moves to Virginia this September.

Kendall’s favorite memories as a SOL girl are post-Sidewalk sale parties, going to New York with the staff and being lucky enough to work with her mom 3 days a week. But just because Kendall is leaving SOL, she still proclaims that she will be calling every season to check what is new and will continue to add to her lingerie collection by mail! We love you KB!
