Santa Claus is coming to SOL!

It’s the most wonderful time of the year!

The Holiday season is once again upon us and I couldn’t be more excited! Soon SOL will be filled with Christmas cheer and buzzing with that special December joy.

To kick off SOL’s month of Sunday events, we’re bringing in some famous reinforcement: Santa Claus. Yes, jolly ‘ole St. Nick himself will be at SOL to meet and greet with you, your kids, and your pets!

One of Santa’s SOL Elves will be on hand taking professional photos and emailing the images to Mom and Dad. This is a great opportunity to have your kids (or your “fur” kids) Holiday card photos taken. Your little ones also can hand-deliver their letters to Santa – And leave with a treat! Candy canes for the kids, biscuits for the pets!

What a beautiful day to Race for the Cure!

Thank you to everyone on Team SOL for braving the cold and being a part of an amazing experience. It is certainly one that I will never forget. Comprised of 14 SOL customers and 17 SOL employees, Team SOL raised an astonishing $11,220!

Gearing up (and warming up) for the race

Before the race, we met up in “Team Land” for coffee, bagels, and donuts (not the breakfast of champions but it was a welcome snack at 7am!). The 5K walk/run started at 8am – Just in time for the sun to come out. Seeing the countless pink tribute bibs worn by those walking “in celebration of” and “in memory of” was incredibly moving having lost my mother to breast cancer four years ago.

Off we go!

Seeing thousands of Denverites whose lives have been touched by breast cancer was inspiring. The sea of pink tutus, wigs, and feather boas around the Pepsi Center added to the celebratory atmosphere. Cheerleaders from local high schools, firemen, and musician lined the race course (though it felt more like a parade route!).

Up one last hill to the finish

Warmed up and energized from our 3+ mile walk, Team SOL regrouped after crossing the finish line. We all had such a great time at Race for the Cure that we’re already looking forward to next year!

Join us as we celebrate 15 wonderful years!

It’s our anniversary! 15 years ago, we opened SOL’s doors for the first time. Creating our plan for SOL was a lot like getting ready to have a baby. We hoped, we planned, we dreamed. Finally, SOL became a reality and with it came new and exciting adventures. There was no looking back; our baby had entered the world.

As we reach the milestone of 15 years, we want to give a special thank you to everyone who has been part of the SOL family since 1997. We would be honored if you joined us in celebrating this landmark occasion on Wednesday August 29^th. We will be hosting a party at the store from 5-8pm with drinks and hors d’oeuvres. You will also have a chance to win a $500 SOL shopping spree, be the first to purchase the NEW Daisy color, watch a video retrospective of SOL throughout the years, get your photo taken in the 1920’s Nash Roadster used in our latest ad campaign, and enjoy a performance by SOL model and singer Tiffany Vartanyan!

A portion of the evening’s proceeds will benefit the Morgan Adams Foundation which raises awareness for pediatric cancer.
