Sidewalk Sale: SOL Savvy Shopper Tips

This year, SOL has hopped off the train and is gearing up for an amazing year at the theater. Rejuvenated from our 4^th of July mini-vacays, we’re more than ready to give a Tony Award-winning performance! Our first act? SOL’s famous Sidewalk Sale, of course!

The store will be buzzing from the sidewalk to the alley, so here are a few valuable tips from our SOL Sidewalk Sale veterans:

Browse our website before coming down to SOL

Do some research! Most of the items you find at the sale will be online.  But keep in mind we will have several limited quantity items that can only be found at the sale itself.

“Like” SOL on Facebook for Sidewalk Sale contests and prizes!

“Like” us and check our page during the sale for mini-contests that could earn you some SOL Bucks!

As always, parking is on us!

Before you feed your meter, come see us first! Every SOL Girl will have plenty of parking tokens.

Get on the list

SOL’s expert bra fitters will be giving the performances of their lives during Sidewalk Sale! Because of this, our lovely ladies will be in high demand. When you get to SOL, sign up with our hostess right away so she can get you on the wait list. While wait times will vary, it’s best to get your name on the list as soon as you arrive.

Bring your friends and share the SOL love!

What better time for a girl’s day out than during Sidewalk Sale? In my opinion, everything is better with friends – especially shopping!  And don't forget that if you bring a first time SOL customer to SOL and she buys a bra, you BOTH get $20 in SOL Bucks!

Our misters will take care of the “cool” part. And by misters, I don’t mean our SOL Man. Our H2O spritzers will cool you off while you browse the goodies in our tent.

Give us a call! We will have fitters on full-time phone duty to assist you with your Sidewalk Sale shopping.

It's Sidewalk Sale time again!  

Now, read that like Oprah is saying it... Sidewaaaaalk Saaaaaaaale!

Because we get to see so many of you - having so much fun! Digging through bins, finding treasures, unexpected surprises, running into friends doing exactly the same thing! It's crazy non-stop madness and we look forward to it all year long.

And it's right now, July 21st through Sunday, July 24.

Here's our favorite SOL SWS Survival Tips...learn them. Know them. Tell your friends.

#1 - Check out the website! Most of the things you'll find at the sale are posted there on our SALE page.

#2  - Don't pay for parking no matter how much you want to. Because every one of us is carrying around a pocket full of tokens for the meters and we LOVE to share them. Just ask.

#3 - If you'll need a fitting room, put your name on the list as soon as you get here. The wait times vary, but this way, you'll have a room when you're ready.

#4 - When it gets hot shopping at other CCN stores, come back and visit us. We'll have the misters running the whole time and we love it when you stop by to cool off.

#5 - "Like" SOL on Facebook for fun contests during the Sale, and win SOL Bucks!

#6 - Be thorough. Look in every box, on every table. Look under the tables! You're not going to believe how much stuff is here!

#7 - Come back!  The best selection is early in the sale...but the discounts get bigger as the sale goes on! Saturday is an additional 20% off the sale price and Sunday is...are you ready?  35% OFF the lowest sale price!  And since there's so much to see, you'll find something new every time. It just makes good sense to show up everyday.

It's almost that time of year....

What's better than the Sidewalk Sale?  

Um, NOTHING. It's like Christmas and and New Year's and the 4th of July all wrapped up in to four super busy, super fun, crazy awesome days of getting to see all of you get all kinds of lovelies at serious discounts.

I. Love. It. We all do! Setting up the tent, sorting the bras, firing up the misters and dumping hundreds of Hanky Pankies into bins. Yay!

It's right around the corner - July 20 to 24! 

We're hard at work getting ready. What can you do?

• Start by keeping an eye out on the new SALE section of the website!  

• Call your BFFs and tell them to block off some time on their calendar. Shopping's more fun with friends!

• Uh oh. You're out of town during the sale?  Just call us. Out of town shoppers can place phone orders now through the the 24th. We promise not to tease you about poor planning.

• Come in. Snoop around. Make your plan.

• Most important? "Like" SOL-Store of Lingerie on Facebook. We'll have fun tips, contests and great finds posted there throughout the month!

Happy and Safe Independence Day!

The 4th of July weekend is an exciting time around here - we love the fun of picnics and fireworks with our friends and family. But besides that, we also get to enjoy a few days off for one of the country's most fabulous art festivals - The Cherry Creek Arts Festival, right here in our own front yard! 


The festival has been happening the first weekend in July for decades. And it's fantastic - original art, music, great food and drinks...definitely a must-see. We'll be closed Friday July 1 - Monday July 4 to enjoy it.


When we come back - get ready for a month of fun at the store! We'll have all kinds of Facebook only specials and contests - so if you're not a "friend" of SOL on Facebook, this would be a great time to do it! Plus, the Sidewalk Sale is right around the corner, July 21-23.

Contests, friends, billboards and donuts.

You would think after a busy week of Sidewalk Sale excitement, we'd take it easy around here, but we're back at it with all kinds of fun.

First of all - another huge thank you to everyone who worked, played, and came to the Sidewalk Sale! It's always so much fun!

This year, we had even more fun, because we posted updates and photos throughout the sale, all day long to our Facebook friends! They got to see hidden treasures we found in the bins, and even participate in fun little contests all day long for prizes.  Seriously, "liking" us on Facebook has it's perks!

This week, Janelle was so psyched that our new sassy billboards are going up around town, she gave a $25 store credit to the first Facebook fan who could tell us where it is...

Right there - at 6th & Kalamath - for all the world to see...and to take pictures of. (But only when the light is red!) The SOL girl who took this photo claims there's a really good view of the billboard from the donut store across the street, but we think that's just an excuse for her to get a jelly donut for lunch.

Our Facebook fans also get FDF...don't know what that means? Check us out on Facebook and find out! You'll also get to see products before anyone else, hear about "super secret sales" and just generally hang out with other cool people who love SOL as much as you do!

The bins are stacked neatly away, waiting for next year, the tent is rolled up and hiding in my garage. Our feet throb, but our hearts are so glad to have had another amazing and fun Sidewalk Sale.

Thank you to everyone who shopped Sidewalk Sale - you make all the hard work so FUN. And to everyone who helped at Sidewalk Sale...you are simply amazing.

As everyone who came to SOL this week experienced, we had SOL Girls everywhere.  We practically double the staff with helpers to ensure that the sale goes as smoothly and as efficiently as possible. THANK YOU to all of you. 

The Sidewalk Sale would be not be possible without the amazing SOL Girls and our incredible, loyal customers.

Now it is time to recover!   

SOL will be closed Monday and Tuesday (July 26th and 27th).  We will re-open on Wednesday at 10am - and look forward to the next big event!

We’re all prepared, but are you ready to survive one of the craziest, most awesome sales of the year?

Sidewalk Sale is when all of our beautiful fashion styles are on sale at screaming discounts. We also get in things from designers we don’t normally carry, and a ton of items we don’t usually have. Swimwear, sleepwear, samples… It’s a terrific time to get something fun, colorful –even outrageous – or just one more of your favorite bra in a slinky new color!

It has a sneak peek at a lot of the sale merchandise… it’s not everything, but it’ll give you an idea of what to head for first when you get here!  
• Don’t pay for parking
Just don’t…Because WE DO!  Every SOL Girl’s got a pocket full o’ tokens and we love to share them! Just ask… then, get yourself a three hour pass to fun and shopping. Once you put the ticket on your dash, it’s good for any space in Cherry Creek North!  
• Put your name on the wait list as soon as you get here.
If you need a fitter/fitting room, make sure you check in with our sweet Maggie as soon as you arrive. She’ll take your mobile phone number and give you a call when the next fitter and room is available. Wait times can vary, which is why we have…  
• Misters
No, not like Mr.’s. Like, cool, refreshing mist that falls from the sky when you’re on our sidewalk. It can get hot out there, girls. So take a break and shop in our refreshing urban bliss. It’s totally like a facial WHILE you’re shopping. I know, right?  
• “Like” us on Facebook
Why? Because we tell our Facebook friends stuff we don’t tell everyone. Like sales and special deals and nifty stuff like that. It’s like being in a secret club with really nice, cool girls. All through the sale, we’ll be posting on Facebook and Twitter and you’re going to want to be connected.  
• Be thorough!
Look in every box, on every table, and even under the tables. You’re not going to believe how much stuff is here… And, while it only stands to reason that the best selection will be there on Wednesday, as the sale goes on, the discounts get bigger. Which means, it also stands to reason that you’ll want to show up on Thursday and Friday, and probably Saturday and definitely Sunday. Every day is different, and every day is awesome at the Sidewalk Sale!  
• Going to be out of town?
First of all, bummer. Second of all – cheer up, SOL Girl! There is a SOL fitter available to help you shop the sale early over the phone.  We are super busy so if you leave a message we will call you back.  Just call 1-800-466-1356.

SOL will be closed for the Cherry Creek Arts Festival (July 3 - 5) and will re-open on July 6th at 10am.  We are busy getting ready for Sidewalk Sale which is July 21 - 25.
